PRIVILEGE

Original 1971 Polish 23 1/2 inch x 33 1/2 inch Poster for the 1967 Peter Watkins Sci-Fi Drama PRIVILEGE, based on a story by Johnny Speight and starring Paul Jones, Jean Shrimpton, William Job, Mark London, James Cossins, Jeremy Child, and Max Bacon.

A real 1960s pop star, Jones of Manfred Mann, does well in this futuristic story about a pop star turned by the totalitarian state into a religious saviour as an opiate of the people.

Poster art by Andrzej Krajewski (1933 – 2018). Krajewski was best known in Poland for his movie posters, a career he began in 1965. He designed sometimes up to a dozen movie posters every year up until 1980.

The poster is very good condition with one horizontal fold and a couple of short edge tears.
